Summary
An Exploration into the lives of those closest to someone who has committed suicide. Target Demographic: Youth, people struggling with mental health issues, and anyone who could benefit from understanding what happens after death.
This game wants to show the after effects on the lives of people you were important to, specifically the emotions, feelings and things that happen after someone dies from Suicide.
This game is a Walking Simulator-esque gameplay, with a first-person perspective of you watching and spectating the lives of the people closest to you after you have successfully committed suicide, with thoughts from you as the character intermittently added.
Worked as a Game Designer on a low-poly educational walking simulator about suicide prevention within a 5-person team.
Implemented core gameplay in UE Blueprints (highlighting interactive objects/characters, scene interactions, and a dialogue system).
Built and iterated 5-level blockouts/whitebox environments, defining player routes, pacing, and interaction placement.
Coordinated closely with teammates to align narrative beats with in-level triggers.

Design Highlights
Designed five distinct first-person exploration levels (hospital/morgue, home, friend’s home, cemetery) to keep players focused and support clear delivery of the suicide-prevention education.
Designed dialogue-driven exploration tasks.
Implemented mouse-hover highlighting for nearby, in-view interactive objects/characters to improve clarity.
Set up linear dialogue + conditional triggers to drive progression and scene events.
Game-integrated suicide—let players learn the context step-by-step by uncovering personal items and conversations, reinforcing recognition, empathy, and help-seeking without relying on long text lectures.
